Description

In celebration of the now 6x World Champion, Paul McBeth, Discraft are releasing a special run of discs with two different designs, the McBeast design and the Commemorative design.

The McBeast design pays homage to the original 4x Claw from back in 2019. You'll see this design on his signature series discs the Zone, Buzzz, Undertaker, Heat, Vulture and Force.

Accompanying this is the Commemorative design, Paul wanted a much more subtle look for his PM Line highlighting his achievements and keeping it simple. You'll see this design on the Luna, Malta, Athena, Anax, Hades and Zeus.

The Athena is the sixth disc in the Paul McBeth lineup.

This 7 speed driver is for control shots with a dependable fade. Similar shot shaping flight characteristics to the Anax with reliable over-stability.

Good disc

Pretty straight flyer with a good amount of fade. The plastic is consistent with most other esp ranges, perhaps a little bit gummier.

Beautifully straight fairway driver

I got 2 of the proto runs of the Athena and they were so overstable. So I was a bit tentative when it came to buying a 6x Athena, but it is absolutely beautiful. I’ll get a lovely flip up to flat flight (very similar to the new FDs).

Really easy distance, they feel great in the hand and can handle torque too.

Slightly more gummy

Very nice feeling discs but I find them slightly more gummier than the prototypes I find! Flights are very similar though and great consistency across all the Athena's.
