I initially bought the Volt as an alternative to an Innova TeeBird3 (2X Champ Wysocki version), sharing similar flight numbers. I was hoping that the Volt would prove more stable in main flight and harder fading than the TeeBird3, because of the "gyro" effect. And this was absolutely the case when fresh out of the bag. Where I may push a 375 foot throw with a TeeBird3 too hard so that it flips over and doesn't come back, the Volt did a better job of fading back into line especially in the wind, and also for a hard sidearm throw. However, I really learned to love it once I had thrown in enough to beat in a longer glide, because I discovered it become quite a shaper's disc, allowing you to hyzer drive a lot further than a fresh disc, and also to push a really big distance line (flat throw, 30 feet high, turning over halfway for a bonus glide, then fading back in last 30 feet), getting me into a consistent 400+ range.
